Job Description
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Management of forklift records
- Conducting forklift evaluations
- Performs regular duties of an individual contributor.
- Leads work activities of others, coordinating daily activities and providing training, coaching and guidance.
- Serves as informational resource; ensures work is completed timely and efficiently.
- Communicates with other related departments to coordinate work and resolve issues as needed.
- May perform related duties such as scheduling, gathering information, backing up supervisors, serving on project teams, reporting and other responsibilities.
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be onsite fulltime
- Knowledge of how to operate multiple lifts efficiently and safely
- Supervisory skills.
- In-depth knowledge of area work activities.
- Organized with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Will vary but may include any of the following:- Extensive sitting, phone and computer use.
- Capable of standing continuously for up to 2 hours.
- Extend and reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch.
- May be required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing acuity sufficient to effectively communicate with customers and Employees via telephone and in person.
- Ability to communicate verbally on phone and in person.
- Fluency in the English language.
- Extended hours may be required.
- Some travel required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- General office, laboratory, warehouse environments
- Normal office noise level.
LEVELING GUIDE:
- Has developed specialized skills through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.
- Work typically involves technical skills and/or administrative duties within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
- Completes work with limited degree of supervision.
