Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management of forklift records
  • Conducting forklift evaluations
  • Performs regular duties of an individual contributor.
  • Leads work activities of others, coordinating daily activities and providing training, coaching and guidance.
  • Serves as informational resource; ensures work is completed timely and efficiently.
  • Communicates with other related departments to coordinate work and resolve issues as needed.
  • May perform related duties such as scheduling, gathering information, backing up supervisors, serving on project teams, reporting and other responsibilities.

      EDUCATION:

      • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

      REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

      • Must be onsite fulltime
      • Knowledge of how to operate multiple lifts efficiently and safely
      • Supervisory skills.
      • In-depth knowledge of area work activities.
      • Organized with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      • Communication skills, both verbal and written.
      • Positive, can-do attitude.

      PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
      Will vary but may include any of the following:

      • Extensive sitting, phone and computer use.
      • Capable of standing continuously for up to 2 hours.
      • Extend and reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers.
      • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch.
      • May be required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds.
      • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
      • Hearing acuity sufficient to effectively communicate with customers and Employees via telephone and in person.
      • Ability to communicate verbally on phone and in person.
      • Fluency in the English language.
      • Extended hours may be required.
      • Some travel required.

      WORK ENVIRONMENT

      • General office, laboratory, warehouse environments
      • Normal office noise level.

      LEVELING GUIDE:

      • Has developed specialized skills through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.
      • Work typically involves technical skills and/or administrative duties within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
      • Completes work with limited degree of supervision.
