We are looking for a hands-on Business Analyst to join our team developing electric-powered aircraft. The goal of a Business Analyst at Wisk is to assist with short and long term strategy development, deal and RFx analysis and planning. You will be part of the Supply Chain team that develops an efficient Supply Chain strategy to meet the needs for our next generation aircraft in order to build the first fully autonomous all-electric aircraft that performs and operates safely in an urban air-mobility environment. In support of this goal, you will be part of the Supply Chain team that develops business models and tools, to help assess and manage supplier risk. Your goal is to optimize the supply chain and related total costs and support our lean production system on strategic, tactical and daily problem solving.

  • The successful candidate is a positive team player who enjoys having direct hands-on experience in business analytics or financial forecasting and who is not afraid to interface with team members throughout the department. In this role, it is preferred if the candidate is willing to assist with down selecting and possibly implementing RFX software or helping to build financial modeling tools to help with team efficiency.

What you will do:

  • As part of the Supply Chain organization, you will act as a Business Analyst for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
  • You will take part in initiatives such as building out financial modeling tools and assisting with software implementation for supply chain management
  • You may interact with multiple internal stakeholders including corporate development, global partnerships, engineering, manufacturing, quality, facilities, finance, program management, and flight test and system teams to support supply chain management activities
  • You may help build out and track detailed budget analysis as well as finance approval processes
  • You may take part in identifying cost saving opportunities to reduce aircraft, component and material costs
  • You may plan and execute value chain analysis as well as market research and assessments and analyzing competitors for informing deal negotiation terms
  • You may help support problem solving activities such as building out supplier risk management and supplier performance initiatives, including modeling tools, scorecards etc. for team adoption
  • Primarily, you will be working closely with supply chain team members, but could also interact with global partnerships, finance and program management in support of supplier initiatives
  • As a Business Analyst, you may help draft supply chain strategy and process documentation 

What you have done:

  • Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree or the equivalent in experience with a willingness to jump in and assist our supply chain team
  • At least two (2) years educational experience in supply chain, business administration, finance or accounting related field of study
  • Some analytical, organizational and judgment skills are preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal 
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Desired:

  • You have experience with writing or reviewing business cases, building financial models and performing market analyses

Hourly rate will be $20 USD an hour.


This internship role will be based at Wisk's headquarters in Mountain View, California and relocation or housing will not be provided.


Eligibility Requirements For US

Must be able to work on-site in Mountain View, CA

Must be legally authorized to work in the US

Must live in the US at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins

Must be either a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in college

Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, transcripts are required

Must be an enrolled student at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins

Must be able to work 40 hours a week for 10 weeks (full-time for 3 months)
