Supply Chain Finance Origination - Origination specialist who is able to work independently to cultivate and grow revenues, having strong business development and negotiation skills. Will be responsible for the origination and execution of supply chain finance transactions and will share in the responsibility to run deals day-to-day primarily within MUFG's Diversified & Industrial and middle market segments in New York and other regions. The position requires an in-depth understanding of the SCF business as well as all major clients/prospects with the aim of identifying appropriate marketing opportunities. The candidate must also be experienced across all working capital solutions - with direct experience originating and executing both receivable and payable finance programs. The ability to offer creative or bespoke client solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Candidate is responsible for targeting a diverse portfolio of clients across various industry verticals with the primary responsibility for covering MUFG's Diversified & Industrial and middle market clients out of New York.
  • Explore & originate new business opportunities through marketing activities and contribute to the growth of the Supply Chain Finance business in terms of assets, market share and revenue.
  • The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining deep client relationships at the appropriate client manager levels and working in collaboration with other MUFG product and client coverage teams.
  • Build a strong rapport with Client Coverage and Relationship Managers to identify and solve client's working capital needs and develop structuring ideas to address specific client needs.
  • Promote the Supply Chain Finance business internally within MUFG and create an environment for leveraging operational efficiencies to existing and new clients.
  • Perform related duties and participate in special projects as required by the business.

Qualifications

  • Position typically requires a degree from a four-year college (e.g., B.A., B.S.) and more than 10 years of experience in general corporate banking with at least 5years of specific knowledge in supply chain finance related programs with a proven track record of meaningful deals closed.
  • Direct experience originating and executing both receivable and payable transactions.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a vision and experience to build up a business portfolio is needed.
  • Ability to collaborate with the SCF team members in NY, SF and Chicago.
  • Excellent oral and written presentation and negotiation skills with excellent working knowledge of legal documentation around both receivable and payable programs.
  • Excellent analytical skills surrounding both credit and operations.
  • Thorough understanding of international banking credit and non-credit products, documentation as well as strong knowledge in corporate finance. Some form of credit training is desirable.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and good interpersonal business relationship, communication capabilities and ability to work in a dynamic and diverse team environment.
**Based on experience role can either be VP or Director.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $225,000 - $260,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
