Sentara Healthcare is recruiting a student for a Supply Chain Internship in the Richmond, VA area. The internship is a temporary - full time position with the working hours of Monday - Friday from 7am-3:30pm (hours may shift depending on the needs of the business).

- Must be currently pursuing and/or enrolled in a college or university at an undergraduate or graduate level
Job Description:
The intern will learn warehouse functions and how the supply chain system works. Responsible for leading, managing, transforming and developing the inventory and logistics of Hospital Warehouse Docks. This includes supply inventory management, warehouse management, product receiving, shipping, record keeping, order fulfillment and materials transportation. The role will be responsible for managing supplies coming to the hospital, primarily in the warehouse. Goals could include building a competitive inventory and logistics infrastructure, optimizing logistics and record-keeping, facilitating cycle counts, measuring inventory, and ensuring continuous improvement. In addition, will be responsible for providing data and information to its superiors and to facilitate decision making with actual ground level information and insights on a periodic basis or ad-hoc, in accordance with Sentara Healthcare priorities.
Job Summary
Position allows for temporary employment as part of educational development opportunity. Under the close direction of permanently employed leaders of the division, Intern assumes responsibility for operational projects and supporting the leadership initiatives for a defined period of time. Assist in completion of various projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned department and healthcare industry. Coordinates and assists with projects based on operational needs and/or Intern's area of interest. Communicates ongoing progress related to currently assigned tasks.
Must be currently pursuing and/or enrolled in a college or university at an undergraduate or graduate level.

HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
