Summary:
The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Business Operations Associate is responsible for supporting the Business Operations and Performance Specialist in the development and execution of overall supply chain strategies and operations. This role will evaluate financial and operations data, manage project timelines, and support the development of business cases and presentations that align with Kyowa Kirin’s NA Regional PMO processes.
The SCM Business Operations Associate will play an integral role in advancing analytical and data science capabilities for the SCM group and will support the establishment of business processes and performance in SCM and across its partners. The SCM Business Operations Associate will play a role in answering business questions using innovative analytic techniques and by leveraging the group's existing analytical capabilities, standards, processes, and methodologies and supporting the evolution of these processes and analytics. The SCM Business Operations Associate will support SCM team coordination efforts, organizational effectiveness, and optimization of tools to deliver a high-performance work culture.
In addition, the SCM Business Operations Associate will develop relationships and support the various SCM Functions and partners (such as IT, Finance, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, Commercial, etc.) in various capacities to achieve operational excellence.Â
Essential Functions:
•   Data Analytics- Gathers and analyzes data to develop insights used for the optimization of the organization’s supply chain operations.  Assists in the creation/ refinement/ and evolution of data analytics for the department (KPIs, Budget, etc.).Â
•   Financial and Data Analysis – structure/manipulate/evaluate financial and/or operations data to summarize and propose conclusions. Support and maintain processes to measure SCM performance and diagnose issues with recommended solutions.
•   Project Management– support/track/revise project timelines and related action plans (as needed). Work with Microsoft Project or MS Office Suite.
•   Presentation Development and Overall Communications – track and summarize SCM team activities in a format that can be easily presented within the organization.  Support in developing ideas or stories into cohesive presentations for delivery including written communication materials and delivery plans.
•   SCM Team Coordination - enhance SCM team coordination efforts and organizational effectiveness through using automating tools such as Teams, Planner, Outlook, etc.Â
•   Continuous Improvement- evaluate CI opportunities and support implementing CI and operational excellence initiatives.Â
•   Contract Management – assist in contract approval/routing process for Operations/Supply Chain related items.Â
•   Other duties as may be assigned – including process and system development, implementation, and other SCM team management/leadership.   Â
Requirements:
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Data Sciences or equivalent experience.  Specific study in data analytics preferred.
Experience
• At least 2 years of experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Operations environment.Â
• Experience with data science, analytics, team coordination, and visualization tools.Â
• Healthcare/Pharma/Biotech experience is a plus.
Technical Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, various forms of creation software and data analytical software (Access, Tableau, PowerBI, QlikView, etc.). Â Experience in ERP is a plus (D365 preferred)Â
