We are searching for a Supply Chain Manager to join our growing Supply Chain and Procurement Team!

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for strategically managing the product procurement process. You will measure and monitor the performance of assigned Buyers and the overall procurement process. With direction from Sales and Marketing VPs, you will be responsible for driving supplier initiatives. You will also also be responsible for directly managing assigned Buyers toward achievement of established Bench Mark Goals and Objectives.
How will you impact our organization as a Supply Chain Manager on a daily basis?
- Lead assigned team of Buyers and direct the staff in carrying out procurement strategies.
- Manage, motivate and develop the assigned team as measured by customer order fulfillment, GMROI, and ROA.
- Monitor and drive fill rates, aged inventory as well as other inventory management processes.
- Analyze inventory trends and provide guidance to Buyers to capitalize on cost saving opportunities while balancing customer requirements and providing complete customer satisfaction.
- Accountable for communicating and being a proactive liaison among the buying teams, DC teams and the sales teams regarding all aspects of procurement activities and processes.
- Collaborate with ROMS to proactively resolve existing or potential issues related to products and processes at the distribution centers.
- Work with transport and logistics to determine the most cost-effective freight solutions for inbound shipments, stock transfers, and stocking locations in order to provide recommendations to the buying group.
- Lead all efforts to identify, respond to and troubleshoot all supplier performance issues.
- Ensure the integrity of all supplier data in the system as measured by PPVs and other measures of integrity.
- Act as a critical leader in Sales and Operations calls, providing strategic insights and guidance.
- Collaborate and lead initiatives to foster better team collaboration, partnership, and teamwork.
Leadership and Communications Skills:
- Demonstrate ability to work with a group to set objectives, generate allegiance to those objectives and guide and motivate their achievement.
- Effectively supervise employees, including ability to mentor, evaluate and guide staff to increase skill level, morale, and efficiency.
- Delegate responsibility and authority to maximize use of employees' skills.
- Provide vision, leadership and motivate others in pursuit of Company goals, vision statement and core values.
- Lead a team in a constructive and collaborative manner; adapts interaction style to situations and people.
- Drive change and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 or more years of supervisory experience.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience with purchasing/inventory control in a sales/distribution environment, including experience in supply chain, distribution, warehouse and/or logistics sectors.
- Bachelors Degree in a related field or a combination of significant related experience and education that is deemed to be commensurate with the degree requirement.
- In-depth knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials.
- Advanced understanding of standard Supply Chain management processes related to inventory management and procurement.
- A general understanding of transportation and logistics and associated safety and documentation requirements, along with an understanding of the distribution process workflow.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel; experience working in a Windows environment.
- Prior SAP experience with the ability to learn internal MRP system - MXP.
- Travel up to 50%
