JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY:

Broad based supply chain management, process development and manufacturing operations knowledge. Strong leadership / planning / negotiation / problem solving / material systems and presentation skills. Exposure to multiple disciplines. PC software knowledge & skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for material systems and processes within a Single Business Unit's Automotive Materials Operation. Key measure performance, continuous improvement of processes and procedures, compliance to Materials Management Systems Assessment, Program Balance Out and Launch. Execute formal systems, provide training and rollout of new material business process. Customer / supplier interaction as required.

SCOPE OF AUTHORITY:

Responsible for material systems and execution for a single business unit with multiple plants. Material Process definition for Global BOS material systems. Multiple disciplines within the extended supply chain to achieve material replenishment from suppliers to our manufacturing line.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering. 6 years manufacturing experience, applicable Adient automotive material Systems and/or Functional Knowledge. APICS Certification.

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

Production Control, Demand Management, Inventory & Warehouse Management, Freight/Logistics, Customer performance criteria / scores, Supplier Management, Electronic Commerce, Budgeting, Planning, Financial skills, Continuous Improvement, Material Flow, Problem Solving. Initiates cost reduction analysis and executes actions to implement.

PROJECT SIZE/COMPLEXITY

Manage in a single business unit with multiple facilities. Single or multiple customers and products. Fiscal budget responsibility for Supply Chain Management costs.

PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS

Strong analytical problem solving skills to determine root cause of issues. Proposes and oversees implementation of corrective action.
