Supply Chain Manager- Project Management

If you are a Project Manager / Sourcing Project Manager professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Boulder Office, you will Primary function is to work with cross-functional teams and business leaders to lead the management of Supply Chain development projects. Be responsible for all aspects of the projects over the entire project life including project planning, coordination, and reporting out of project results and status. Must be proficient in project planning and understand the roles of the team members. Secondary function is leading commodity spend and to support supply chain activities such as: design and implementation of a supply network, management of supplier metrics, and understanding of cost drivers and supply sources.
AS A SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER - PROJECT MANAGEMENT, YOU WILL:
- Create project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for critical supply chain projects. This involves working closely with cross-functional teams to define project goals and results.
- Need to prioritize resources, including personnel, budget, and technology, to ensure that projects are adequately supported. This may involve working with various departments.
- Assess potential risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions to the project schedule.
- Provide regular project updates to managers and senior leadership. Effectively collaborate with different departments, peers, and suppliers.
- Be able to define, present, and implement effective short-term and long-term commodity strategies.
- Manage established key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to insure supplier performance. Meaningful metrics include on-time delivery, cost, quality, and lead-times.
- Find opportunities for process improvement at the supplier and recommend changes to increase supplier performance and reduce costs.
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and work collaboratively to resolve any issues or delays that may impact the supply chain.
WHO YOU ARE:
To excel in this role, you should have strong project management skills, a deep understanding of supply chain processes, and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams. Additionally, experience with project management methodologies will be necessary. A background in supply chain management will be advantageous.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in business-related field or engineering required.
5 years of direct experience in: project management, supply chain, engineering, or other related roles. - Proven knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and data analysis skills.
- Ability to work well within diverse teams and with other departments.
- Strong Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPMĀ®), Project Management Professional (PMPĀ®), or other project management certificate

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the salary/pay range for this role is $100,000 - $116,000, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
OPTIONAL - LOCATION SPECIFIC:
Hybrid role. Two days remote work after 6 month on-boarding period.
