Overview
The supply chain optimization analyst's role is to design and optimize the global supply chain network through the development of scenarios from ideation through decision, including network modeling and case development. The analyst primarily focus will be to understand how products flow through the supply chain network from manufacturing sites to customers. The analyst will be expected to independently carry out requested network analysis by collecting, validating the required data, performing analysis by demonstrating existing optimization models, or creating new ones and presenting the analyzed results to the business partners.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement methods to gather and manage supply chain data from source systems
- Develop, manage, and maintain supply chain models in Supply Chain Guru
- Create and maintain scenarios developed with these models in support of ongoing business decisions
- Create and maintain scenario visualizations using Tableau
- Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects as needed to address ongoing business needs
- Convert business requirements and questions from business team members into concrete plans for supply chain analysis
- Seek to streamline and improve all aspects of supply chain modeling and analysis
Qualifications
- Experience creating Supply Chain Optimization models, preferably using Supply Chain Guru
- Demonstrated ability to translate supply chain business questions into analytical models
- High-level Understanding of all aspects of supply chain processes, including planning and execution
- Experience extracting supply chain data from ERP systems, preferably SAP and JD Edwards
- Ability to communicate modeling results to non-technical audiences
- Understanding of supply chain KPIs, Supply Chain cost drivers, service levels, and ESG impact
Competencies
- Must be an analytical thinker with the ability to analyze and understand data quickly
- Must be comfortable concisely presenting analytical outcomes
- Understanding of SAP ECC/JDE warehouse and transportation capabilities
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
- Must demonstrate strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Must be able to work on multiple overlapping activities with varying teams
- Must have a positive attitude and willing to contribute new ideas
- position will require travel up to 25%
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree required. MS/MBA helpful
- 3-5 years related experience
Other Requirements
- Understanding of the end-to-end supply chain processes, with a broad supply chain background
- In-depth Understanding of transportation concepts such as carrier tariffs, Inco terms, tendering, and freight audit
- Experience with Alteryx is a plus
- Supply Chain Network design experience with any other network optimization tools
- experience with Python and Power BI will also be advantageous
