Job Description

Our US supply chain team seeks a highly motivated individual with experience in production planning and with immediate availability to join our team. The supply planner maintains a finished goods production plan covering the agreed time horizon for assigned products/sites aligned with product inventory and seasonal planning strategies. The planner role responsibilities include planning both internal and external manufacturing production (formulation and packaging) at multiple locations in North America. Maintains the ERP system and keeps information updated and running optimally, as well as providing system support and best practices for the local planners in other areas (Mexico, Colombia and Brazil).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monthly planning processes and regional siting decision execution.
  • Maintain BOM and recipes and ensure compliance with regulatory team.
  • Maintain the ERP system updated (safety stocks, bill of materials, costs) as well as linkages to allow proper performance (branch plants, procurement keys, etc.).
  • Run MPS (master production scheduling) monthly.
  • Issue work orders and load inventory information.
  • Main contact to demand manager and customer service functions regarding to product availability and production plan.
  • Contact with product managers regarding to new products or modifications in current products to be produced in the locations under his/her responsibility.
  • Create branch plants and update SKU information as needed.
  • Contact the external manufacturing locations periodically (communicate production plans, follow up on campaigns, evaluate improvement initiatives, etc.).
  • Manage all post production reconciliations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A bachelor’s degree or above.
  • Excellent written English skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Advanced level PC skills.
  • Demonstrated ERP systems knowledge with Oracle, SAP or similar.
  • Ability to define and solve problems creatively.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to all levels within the organization and external to the organization.
  • Keen sense of urgency.
  • Team first customer focused attitude.
