Job Summary:

Supply Chain Planner is responsible for inventory planning and supply chain analytics. The role will report to the Sr Manager, Supply and Demand Planning. Chervon is fast growing its Power Tool and Outdoor Power Equipment business in North America and his role will be a key contributor to support continued business growth.

The role will be both an expansion and continuous operations role within the North America DSP team. Key deliverables will include supply chain analytical reporting and monitoring inventory level.

The Supply Chain Planner plays an essential role in inventory planning and management for Chervon by using analytical approaches to support inventory execution being adhered to On Time, On Cost, On Capital.

The Supply Chain Planner does not supervise employees. However, the incumbent needs to be adept at communicating and influencing from the 3PL’s Inventory floor up to the KA’s and Channel management level.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Formulate and deliver Supply Chain analytic insights across various operational functions-Demand/Supply planning and inventory management,
• Reporting: Supply and Demand, Inventory KPI
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand different data streams and potential gaps.
• Forecast inventory flow and track orders to ensure healthy stock levels.
• Responsible for investigating the source of large inventory discrepancies and proactively working with logistics and finance to remedy them.
• All other duties assigned by Senior Manager, Supply and Demand Planning

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong understanding of the supply chain process.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Technical knowledge and understanding of integrated software systems.
• Attention to detail and the ability to focus on numbers for long periods.
• Needs to be able to think ahead and anticipate potential issues or challenges that may arise in the supply chain.
• Adapt to changing circumstances and come up with creative solutions to problems as they arise.
• Strong communication skills
• Bi-lingual preferred – Chinese and English
• Working off-hours is required.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as logistics, business management, supply chain management, statistics, or finance.
• Demonstrated experience in key areas of supply planning such as data modeling, production planning, or materials planning.
• Supply planning software planning experience is a plus.

Travel:

This position requires up to 10% US and international travel.
