Description:

Responsible for the direct oversight of all supply chain planning activities for domestic polypropylene, and UTEC product lines, along with Green PP import businesses in the United States with annual sales of approximately $2.5 billion.  Manages a team of six, including demand planning and production scheduling functions within the organization.  Responsible for developing and aligning the monthly sales, production, import and inventory plan, present results and plan during SOIP meetings with business directors, commercial leaders and industrial sites, and provide direction on the execution of the plan.    Ensure successful execution of plan and provide financial justification for any deviations to plan.  Provide oversight and direction to team during unplanned changes and optimize the plan to satisfy customer demands and maximize earnings for the business.  Contribute to global supply chain forums and teams and projects, drive alignment of global practices and targets.  Lead implementation of transformative forecast-to-stock improvements; prioritize and align additional improvements and lead execution of prioritized improvements.  Set the direction and strategy for development of the Supply Chain team including enhancement of business processes, optimization of business results and professional development of team members.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and mentor the Production Scheduling, Demand Planning, and UTEC Planning functions in the organization
  • Establish targets and guide monthly demand, production, and inventory planning activities and ensure three-month production and demand plans are optimized to meet the goals of the business.
  • Manage inventory balances for the polypropylene, UTEC, and Green PE by optimizing target cycle, safety stock targets to provide desired service levels to customers.
  • Participate in strategic line loading initiatives, product trials, and commercial strategy development and ensure effective execution of these strategies and activities in the Supply Chain organization.
  • Develop and utilize a global mindset, knowledge of imports, exports, and domestic market concepts
  • Lead development and implementation of new and existing portfolio of transformative activities within Supply Chain area, including forecast-to-stock and order-to-cash processes, along with business process ownership of key activities.
  • Collaborate on executing prioritized improvements with direct and cross-functional local and global teams (and outside support when available).
  • Support and propose process and operations changes that drive sustainable improvements in the business results and effectiveness.
  • Clear vision, strategy, and guiding change to key processes collaboratively with the team
  • Cultivate a continuous improvement mindset within area of responsibility. Promote and develop subject matter expertise for processes and operational activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial, commercial, and/or supply chain functions.
  • Minimum of 8 years of total work experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business-related field
  • Knowledge of critical petrochemical supply chain fundamental concepts (product wheel, inventory, working capital, lead time, rail transportation, service level, on time in full, quantitative optimization)
  • Proven ability to evaluate and communicate complex tradeoffs to team and leadership, with a history of successfully managing conflicting priorities and preferences, prioritizing transparency of decisions with key stakeholders
  • SAP ECC (SD, MM, PP) and SAP SCM (DP, SNP, PP/DS, CTM) experience preferred, with a demonstrated history of identifying and driving execution of order-to-cash, forecast-to-stock, and operations, systems, and improvements.
  • Strong Microsoft skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Office 365.
  • Progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, business analysis, production and site operations, and/or sales support experience.
  • Ability to collaborate and develop team members across multiple regions and countries.
  • Strength in negotiating and persuading peers, leaders, and team members to avert conflict, increase productivity, and drive shared ownership of results.
  • Capacity to form strong relationships as a “trusted partner” with team and colleagues.
  • Project conceptualization and financial acumen to develop associated project business cases, costs, benefits, and return on investment.

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • MBA preferred.
