Supply Chain Planning Manager
Job Description
Planning Manager at Lunar Energy will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts to inform production, purchasing, and inventory management decisions. - Develop and implement materials planning strategies in partnership with CMs to ensure ability to support Lunar Energy's production goals
- Clear-to-Build (CTB) management: Provide visibility to material supply and capacity, highlighting projected coverage and constraints
- Analyze data and develop reports to track key supply chain metrics, included but not limited to: Inventory Projection vs. Actual, Liability, E&O risks
- Create allocation strategies for constrained materials by developing models across CMs and products. Provide allocation direction to GSMs and CM teams and ensure supply alignment
- Monitor industry and global market conditions, track technology roadmaps, identify supply and demand challenges and opportunities
- Forecast development: Develop accurate demand forecasts to inform production, purchasing, and inventory management decisions.
- Data analysis: Analyze historical sales data and market trends to inform forecast models and improve forecasting accuracy.
- Stakeholder engagement: Engage with stakeholders, including sales and marketing teams, to ensure forecasts accurately reflect demand signals.
- Inventory management: Collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure forecasts are aligned with inventory targets and goals.
- Process improvement: Continuously improve demand planning processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Performance tracking: Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust processes as necessary to improve performance.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure demand plans are integrated with broader organizational plans and goals.
- Supply chain management: Partner with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure demand plans align with supply chain capabilities and constraints.
- Communication: Communicate demand forecasts and plans to key stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills:
- Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or Supply Chain Management
- 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Operations with good understanding of planning concepts - MPS, MRP, BOM, CTB
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced modeling and predictive analytical skills; "Advanced User" of MS Excel, Google sheets. VBA, SQL, Tableau (or similar visualization tools) are a plus

Our Compensation Philosophy: Our goal is to ensure that all Lunar Energy employees are fairly compensated. Please note that the salary range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position provided pursuant to the Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act for California applicants. The salary range estimate for this position depending on level of experience is: $90k -110k $ USD.
The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package & benefits, will be at the company’s sole discretion, and determined by factors including but not limited to years of experience, job level, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
