Supply Chain Solutions Sales Executive

Iron Mountain Warehousing and Logistics is our fast-growing, full-service third party logistics (3PL) business with over 20 dedicated warehouses (encompassing over 4M sq. ft.) strategically located throughout the United States and Canada offering warehousing, e-commerce and business-to-business fulfilment, transportation, and other value-added services. We are looking for a highly motivated salesperson who can help our customers overcome supply chain disruptions, support evolving customer demands, and build a logistics function that is resilient and adaptable to change.

The Supply Chain Solutions Sales Executive is responsible for generating new business opportunities, building relationships, and driving revenue growth with prospective and existing Iron Mountain customers. In this role, you will collaborate with our account management, commercial leadership, and operations team as you develop and execute on a strategy to support overall business growth. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, knowledgeable about the logistics industry, an effective communicator, and eager to support customers with the development and delivery of innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new accounts and engage with existing Iron Mountain customers, to build relationships with key decision makers, understand their challenges and needs, and drive sales pipeline
  • Work with operations, finance, and other key stakeholders to create and deliver relevant and innovative customer solutions
  • Support the preparation, presentation, and negotiation of solution proposals
  • Achieve bookings, revenue, and profit targets
  • Utilize CRM tools to organize, document, and track business development activities throughout the sales lifecycle
  • Monitor and communicate key market dynamics, including customer and competitor developments and other relevant industry information
  • Provide feedback to the marketing team to develop/enhance marketing and prospecting tools to support business development and marketing efforts

Key Skills, Requirements, and Competencies:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of successful sales or account management experience in the 3PL industry (operations experience is a plus)
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred (preferably in business, logistics, supply chain management, or related)
  • Proven success as a sales "hunter" with a strong track record of identifying, qualifying, and closing new business
  • In-depth knowledge of the 3PL space, including warehousing, distribution, fulfilment, etc. with the ability to translate customer needs into solution requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interface with senior internal and external leaders
  • Negotiation skills, effective questioning techniques, account/relationship management experience
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to be productive in a variety of work environments

Reasonably expected salary range: $97,700.00 - $130,200.00 + commissions.
