Supply Chain Sourcing Manager:

The Supply Chain Sourcing Manager is responsible for leading QBP's sourcing strategy for our proprietary brands including managing our vendor matrix, researching and adding suppliers with new technologies or within new regions, and partnering with our Supply Chain Operations team in MN and our sourcing team in Taiwan to develop category-wide and brand-specific needs.

This position is a key member of our supply chain team, leading the sourcing initiatives and creating a supplier matrix that becomes a sustained competitive advantage for QBP by ensuring our vendor matrix goals are met or exceeded around quality/capabilities, cost, delivery and sustainability.

Responsible for ensuring that our supplier network meets our brands' needs. Leads the management and curation of our vendor matrix, staying on top of emerging manufacturing needs, what projects we have at each supplier, how much business with have with them, and where our future opportunities lie. Addressing redundancies and single points of failure in our current vendor matrix. Understanding emerging technologies within the bicycle industry, developing a global view on emerging regions and trade policies, and partnering with our supply chain operations team to review our current supplier base capabilities. This position is responsible for ensuring we are finding new suppliers in time to support our growing proprietary brand businesses for bicycles and bicycle parts, apparel, and accessories.

This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

The ideal candidate will have experience in and will be responsible for:

Sourcing expertise:

Macro costing trends such as raw material costs and changing labor costs

Worldwide Trade Agreements

Sourcing in new regions

Emerging technologies in the bike industry

Supplier matrix management

Leads the management and curation of our vendor matrix

Proactively address single points of failure and redundancies in our current supplier matrix

Partnering with Supply Chain Operations on supplier scorecards, as well as onboarding and exiting vendors

Support proprietary brand needs

Understanding emerging needs of brands teams regarding supplier base and supplier capabilities

Assessing quality, cost, capabilities, delivery, and sustainability anchors as part of new supplier vetting process

Total book of business cost negotiations

Process responsibilities & improvements:

Responsible for new supplier agreements

Development a project placement process at the total book of business level as well as establishing new costing processes focused on cost down initiatives

Development of a sourcing methodology & priorities as the proprietary business needs grow

Partnering with Supply Chain Director on building a sourcing team organizational plan

Partnering with supply chain operations to consult on the supplier auditing program; auditing suppliers, as needed, pertaining to social responsibility, and to business capabilities and requirements

Refining the process around new supplier agreements and partners with the Supply Chain Operations team to insure a smooth onboarding process for new suppliers that includes: identifying new suppliers, moving them through the qualification process, and provides a hand off to operations to complete the onboarding experience.

Inspire and influence key stakeholders to drive changes to ensure projects meet time, cost, delivery and quality objectives.

What you need to succeed:
Qualifications-

4 year degree in a Supply Chain related field or equivalent experience
4+ years' experience with sourcing and vendor management
Strong understanding of the bicycle industry and its unique dynamics
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Able to thrive in a collaborative work environment
Effective negotiation skills
Experience and comfort with data management and analysis
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to thrive in a cross-cultural work environment
Ability to multi-task and keep projects on schedule
Effectively works without close supervision
Ability to stay focused and on track yet flexible to changes as they occur
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed including the ability to drive a motor vehicle and be an approved QBP driver.

Travel approximately 2 to 4 times per year, for up to three weeks at a time.

Open to candidate living ½ time overseas to support current or emerging regions.
Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time
