Job Purpose and Overview

The Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist is responsible for sourcing non-strategic/local items and negotiating contracts and pricing details with suppliers.  They’re responsible to maintain contract pricing, establish PIRs (Purchasing Info Records) and establish Freight conditions within SAP for all DCs. 

This role is 100% Remote with up to 20% travel.  The successful candidate will reside in the EST, CST, or MST time zone.

What will you do as a Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist at Dawn Foods? 

• Research vendors, source and manage all non-strategic items as needed (for items out of scope by the Strategic Sourcing Managers in Procurement)
• Responsible for new item setup and maintain master data in SAP (non-MRP data)
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Setup and manage contracts establish PIRs (Purchasing Info Records), and freight conditions within SAP.
• Develop and implement purchasing and contract management, providing input policies and procedures.
• Manage vendor quality issues and concerns.
• Work with Accounts Payable to resolve any invoice discrepancies in MRBR, OnBase and GRIR
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure continual sourcing improvement.
• Escalation from Fulfillment team on any non-strategic vendors
• Responsible for non-strategic/local item stocking agreements.
• Other duties as assigned.

What Does It Take to be a Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.   

• High School Diploma or GED is required.  

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Contracts, Accounting, or related field and at least 1 year of relevant work experience or 5 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Business, Supply Chain, Contracts or Accounting in distribution and food service distribution preferred. 
• Must have operational knowledge in an ERP system. 
• Strong research and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
• Highly analytical and detail oriented
• Experience in SAP, Excel, Word, & Microsoft Outlook preferred 
• Contract Management experience preferred.

Compensation Range:  

$ 74,590- $116,360 with bonus incentive
