The Supply Chain Specialist role is responsible for managing and overseeing the payment process for the supply chain and procurement activities. The role involves working closely with various departments, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payment processing, while also maintaining compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Invoice Verification and Processing:
- Receive and review incoming invoices related to supply chain and procurement activities.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of invoices and manage vendor open statements.
- Interact with vendors to resolve any discrepancies, clarify invoice details, and address payment-related inquiries.
- Maintain positive vendor relationships and provide assistance in resolving payment-related issues promptly.
- Escalate key vendor issues with leadership.
- Manage internal reports and communicate needs to cross functional teams.
- Manage vendor master data within Epicor and support all vendors in Epicor
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the accounts payable process, such as implementing automation tools or optimizing workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the supply chain payment process.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance or a related field desired. Equivalent education and experience required.
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Experience using an ERP for tasks related to materials management required.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, required.
Training and Job Knowledge Requirements
- Excellent decision-making skills and a sense of urgency.
- Ability to drive improvements by working effectively with others inside and outside of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several different tasks/projects simultaneously.
This position will adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their Supervisor immediately.
