Supply Chain Specialist
Job Description
Scribe Therapeutics is a molecular engineering company focused on creating best-in-class in vivo therapies that permanently treat the underlying cause of disease. We are seeking a highly creative, passionate, and motivated Supply Chain Specialist to join us in our quest to develop the next generation of CRISPR-based therapeutics. The current role is for a Supply Chain Specialist to join our team and advance our platform. The candidate should have a passion for working collaboratively with biologists and bioengineers to enable building the necessary tools for meeting the new frontier of CRISPR-based therapeutics. In addition the candidate would bring expertise in strategic planning of logistics, responsibility for the maintenance, contracting services, goods receipt, equipment receipt, goods storage and operations of the site, and participating in the day-to-day operation activities for the Shipping and Receiving.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Control Focus
- Track, organize, and receive incoming lab supplies and raw materials related to the laboratory, clean room, cold storage and bulk storage area
- Perform inventory counts and discrepancy reconciliation to reduce inventory losses of laboratory consumables.
- Manage inventory receiving and orders to ensure orders can be properly utilized and stored
- Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
- Update material location counts in spreadsheet
- Manage vendor relationships with the technical experts at Scribe to ensure maximal price discounting.
Shipping Focus
- Assembling, addressing, and shipping merchandise or material
- Verifying and recording outgoing merchandise or material
- Arrange and coordinate transportation according to availabilities and requirements
Receiving Focus
- Sign in and receive all materials before the end of the day then take to the correct place in the stockroom
- Ensure work area is accessible and safe for internal employees and customer traffic
- Inspect for damage and comparing inbound/outbound shipment to packing list and bill of lading to ascertain that quantities, destination and processing are correct
- Identify and communicate any discrepancies or questionable conditions related to the task at hand
- Use Kanban methodology to help team work together more efficiently
- Work overtime as required
Required Skills and Background:
- At least 2-3 years of experience working in supply chain
- Knowledge of material flow and storage locations
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proficient with NetSuite ERP and Google Suite or related software as required to complete and maintain records
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skill
- BSc/BA in business administration, supply chain management or relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facilities.
