Primary Duties
1. Responsible for the execution of divisional supply chain strategies in coordination with the enterprise supply chain strategy.
2. Coordinates supply chain activities with internal clients and key suppliers to develop optimum inventory levels.
3. Works closely with operations, engineering, finance, and key suppliers to understand requirements, develop budget material usage forecasts, develop delivery schedules and proactively communicate to all parties.
4. Sets local performance measures for key suppliers and meets periodically with key suppliers and stakeholders to review performance, identify/resolve issues and develop cost savings initiatives.
5. Monitors inventory and consignment minimum/maximum parameters and adjusts as necessary to ensure meeting operational requirements while meeting defined inventory turns performance.
6. Coordinates investment recovery activities through proactive identification of surplus inventory and non-book assets which are not being fully utilized. Updates inventory management system to reflect surplus inventory. Maintains current list of under-utilized assets. Works closely with local operations and the procurement group to dispose of assets with maximum return on investment.
7. Works with engineering and operations on special projects to provide budgetary information, to setup special programs with key suppliers (staging, bag & tag, kitting, job site delivery, labeling, bulk price breaks, etc.) and to utilize in operations or return to vendor surplus material remaining from project.
8. Initiates, coordinates and promotes enterprise standardization programs.
9. Coordinates emergency equipment and inventory programs that meet minimum call out requirements while maintaining optimal levels of stock.
10. Ensures warehouse cycle counts are completed accurately and on schedule.
11. Provides training and direction to employees engaged in similar work using electronic ordering systems.
12. May assist with the handling, transportation and disposal of hazardous materials and preparation of regulatory reporting of hazardous materials.
13. Reviews weekly MRC invoice and corrects account coding and allocation table errors.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Experience Level:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Finance related field and four years experience in supply chain management; or equivalent.
Communication Skills:
Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with internal and/or external customers and key suppliers in order to obtain and/or provide basic types of factual information
Numeric Skills:
Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods. Requires the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Must be able to understand financial concepts (revenue, expenses, profit, etc.).
Computer Skills:
Requires intermediate computer skills for word processing, spreadsheet analysis, data entry, and reference and/or retrieval tasks.
Work Conditions:
Works in indoor and outdoor environments.
Requires frequently performing activities, including, but not limited to, stooping, bending, crawling, kneeling, grasping, reaching, climbing and lifting objects, in excess of 100 pounds (e.g., lifting meters and regulators).
May require extensive overnight travel.
Must maintain forklift certification for shipping and receiving freight.
