Job Summary
McKesson is seeking a Supply & Demand Analyst. The Supply & Demand Planning Analyst plays a critical role in our Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning (SIOP) process, utilizing advanced analytics and insights from stakeholders across the business to ensure efficient balance between demand plans and supply availability. Supporting our core distribution businesses, this role works cross-functionally to interpret sales data, leverage inventory analytics, incorporate supplier feedback, and monitor marketplace trends. These inputs are transformed into meaningful insights that drive optimal service and inventory levels. Additionally, the Supply & Demand Planning Analyst provides key inputs into the annual strategic plan.
- Develop and Refine Forecasting Models - Manage statistical forecasting models considering historical data, promotions, seasonality, market trends, supplier production constraints, and other critical inputs to deliver accurate and actionable forecasts both to internal and external stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Engage with stakeholders across the Sales, Finance, Operations, Purchasing and Sourcing organizations to present forecasts, resolve discrepancies, and drive a single agreed-upon demand plan. Act as the central point for demand-related information, ensuring data transparency and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Supply Planning - Based on supplier feedback, analyze production capacity, inventory levels, lead times to balance forecasted demand with feasible production and distribution capabilities.
- SIOP Participation - Own both the supply and demand planning aspect of SIOP meetings, present forecasts, and production plans, facilitate discussions, incorporate feedback to garner alignment on finalized demand plan. Highlight potential risks or opportunities to optimize inventory or identify potential supply gaps.
- Postmortem Analytics - Retroactively track forecast accuracy and uncover areas for process improvement. Create clear reports that communicate forecast effectiveness and share findings with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Process Improvement - Continuously evaluate and refine forecasting methodologies, data flows, and collaborative processes to increase efficiency, visibility, and accuracy.
Education & Minimum Requirements
- Degree or equivalent.
- Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
Critical Skills
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills - Strong ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends, quickly identify discrepancies between data sets and identify underlying drivers. Report findings while proposing solutions to drive greater accuracy.
- Scenario Planning - Ability to model different "what-if" scenarios to understand potential outcomes and risks.
- Collaboration - Excellent ability to work effectively across varying teams while facilitating discussions, leading debates, and garnering buy-in to align to a single demand plan.
- Supply Chain Fundamentals - Knowledge of supply chain concepts, inventory management principals, and how demand planning fits into the broader organization.
- Technical Skills - Power BI and Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions
- Hybrid work environment - Irving, TX.
- Able to travel overnight domestically 5% of the time.
- Must be authorized to work in the US unrestricted - This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. Our Base Pay Range for this position
$94,500 - $157,500
