Supply Engineer

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

Support Project Management Division, Global and Local R&D engineering Division with sourcing of components for new product development

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Select supplier with a purchasing approach (quality requirement, cost commitment, delivery time to market, and innovation, anti-monopoly...) for purchasing support to new product development project

• Promote and manage co-development with suppliers and early supplier involvement, selection and supplier qualification process for new product development, bring supplier intelligence for design to cost & manufacturing to cost

• Align and deploy purchasing decision making with the current global purchasing strategy focusing on standardization, supplier concentration, and implementation

• Identify new technologies, new suppliers to meet gaps between needs & current supplier base, and work w/ commodity team to approve new supplier

• Manage prototypes procurement and payment request for Mock-up, Engineering Build's up and Industrial Pilot Run, negotiate and contract all purchasing terms and conditions for new products mass production

• Manage BOM (Bill of Material) cost evolution within project frame, ensure competition to meet product target cost, conduct total cost of ownership estimation and analyze supplier quotes

JOB CRITERIA:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• BS degree with a minimum 5 years' experience in Procurement or Supplier Chain Management.
• Technical background of Electrical or Electronics , Heating Cables, Plastics, Extrusion, Casting , Machining and Powder metallurgy is preferred.
• Good knowledge in supply chain management and solid experience of using quality tools such as : PPAP,FMEA preferred.
• Exposure to present result and activity plans, willing to work in an international environment.
• Willing to travel, about 20% working time on business trip.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Fluently English skill on reading, writing, listening and speaking;
• Familiar with MS Office software;
• Ability to interpret complex drawings, engineering specs and standards;
• Maintains a professional level of knowledge regarding quality systems,
