What you will do

As a part of the Materials Management Strategy, you will lead how each part is received, packaged, stored, and delivered to its point of use or to the end user or customer. Manage the Plan for Every Part(PFEP) Lead a cycle counting team to build a culture of accuracy.

How you will do it
  • Create, implement, and improve PFEP. Storage optimization, including bin sizes and racking determination
  • Interpret engineering/manufacturing requirements, drawings, etc.
  • Evaluate storage and racking options and make site wide decisions on such
  • Build implement, and improve standard work with appropriate revision and control levels.
  • Update critical SAP system parameters to align with the efficient material strategy in conjunction with Plan for Every Part (PFEP) process.
  • Maintain required documentation outside the ERP system to support ongoing monitoring and change management.
  • Lead and implement projects applying real time data visualization to present data and influence decisions
  • Support measurable improvement in parts shortages due to poor production and materials planning and inventory errors
  • Significantly reduce excess material handling inside facilities, between facilities and to and from local suppliers through extensive value stream analysis and application of PFEP principles.
  • Leverage shop-floor lean material flow implementation experience to lead and support projects focused on synchronization of material consumption with production, maximizing efficiency of material conveyance routes and optimal materials presentation to the point of use.
  • Prepare/plan for Model Year (MY) changes and new models/options


What we look for

Required
  • A Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study, Associates Degree and relevant experience or at least 6+ years of relevant experience in material flow, industrial engineering, demand planning, or production control
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of inventory management software and best practices
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Database creation expertise
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to speak and work across all levels of business.


Preferred:
  • APICS certification
