Job Description

FCP Euro is in search of an experienced and driven Supply Planner to bolster our existing team and take on a new challenge. Our mission as a supply chain is to plan for, source, procure, and deliver the right products at the right time with the most optimized cost and quality to our customers. This role is imperative to that mission, forging tight relationships with our supply base and ensuring we have the right inventory available to our customers to meet demand.
FCP Euro is an online automotive parts retailer headquartered in Milford, Connecticut. FCP stands for "Foreign Car Parts," and we specialize in replacement parts for European vehicles. In the past 10 years, FCP Euro has earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private companies list eight times. Customer service is deeply rooted in our core values. FCP Euro is a customer and technology company, and this unique blended culture has yielded outstanding results worthy of reward and recognition. We are devoted to developing and maintaining user-friendly and accurate automotive catalogs. We have an incredible enthusiasm for what we do, and we are always looking for ways to grow, learn, and improve.
Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Optimize service and inventory levels by SKU (large SKU count 10K+) at each location of the supply chain network ( Supplier, Forwarder, In-transit, and DCs)
  • Anticipate factors influencing demand, such as upcoming promotions or seasonal changes, and double-check the demand signal on top SKUs.
  • Successfully work through the system-generated (Stock IQ) supply Alerts to ensure inventory optimization and to prevent stock-outs or sub-prime sourcing.
  • Model scenarios and understand the impacts of changes to demand, supply, and network assumptions.
  • Conduct proactive analysis to identify opportunities to prevent stockouts or subprime sourcing, mitigating margin loss.
  • Closely collaborate with a global network of suppliers, with a focus on long-term relationship building, capacity planning, and timeliness. Get an early view of any supply disruptions and work cross-functionally to drive mitigation plans.
  • Develop strong, collaborative partnerships with cross-functional teams by working closely to obtain high-quality demand, supply, logistics, distribution, finance, and other inputs to create a robust assumption-based inventory plan.
  • Proactively communicate any production delays or supply risks internally.
  • Provide robust service reporting, root cause analysis, and forward actions to achieve service goals.
  • Iterate and implement new processes by identifying inefficiencies and making recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • BA or equivalent preferably in a related area (supply chain, finance, engineering, economics)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply and inventory planning in a high SKU count environment. At least 1 year of using an MRP or Inventory Planning System.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to develop inventory models to support a complex supply network.
  • Strong collaborative and influencer skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to manage change effectively due to fluctuation in demands and factors influencing decisions.
  • Ability to source and analyze data to make sound judgments.
  • You are a learner - always seeking to improve yourself, your team, and the world around you
  • You thrive on direct, honest, and supportive communication
  • You are extremely organized, attentive to detail, and adept at working within deadlines
  • You are always thinking about how to help the teammates around you excel
  • To you, there’s nothing more exciting than a new challenge
  • Sense of humor -- we take our work seriously and ourselves un-seriously

Benefits and Perks

  • Company-subsidized Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.
  • 15 days of PTO (Paid Time Off), Company Holidays and Floating Holiday time.
  • 401k with Company deposit and match.
  • Discounted prices on our catalog of European car parts!

Compensation

  • $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience, with a total compensation opportunity of $80,000 to $100,000 annually.
