Supply Planner - Cannabis

Overview
The Supply Planner is responsible for strategic inventory and supply planning activities in the extraction, refining and post-processing operations at Motif. This role is responsible for translating customer (internal and external) forecasts for bulk oil into production demand and optimizing operations to meet these demands within operational constraints.

Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret cannabinoid forecasts for brand, tolling and wholesale clients
• Develop and optimize production schedules to meet demands and inventory targets for various cannabinoid products in a planning horizon of up to 4 months
• Develop and implement dynamic scheduling tools that support accurate and efficient scheduling as Motif grows and increases in complexity
• Interface with the operations management, supply chain and commercial teams to confirm planning inputs incl; demand variance, constraints, production rates and optimization opportunities
• Coordinate with Supply Chain on biomass planning; provide direction on biomass procurement to support required distillate production demands
• Plan and coordinate tolling activities
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Post secondary education in a related discipline 
• 3+ years experience in production planning in a manufacturing/production environment
• Experience using ERP systems and/or cannabis tracking software is preferred
• Experience within Cannabis industry is considered an asset
• Strong analytic problem-solving skills
• Collaborative leadership
• Personal accountability to meet deadlines and expectations
• Expert communication skills, both verbal and written
• Organized with advanced administration skills
• Able to work autonomously, but also take direction when needed
• Ability to interact with cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong sense of urgency with a customer-centric mindset
• Advanced skills in MS Office applications (particularly Excel)
• Able to train onsite for 2 months, then work remote with occasional visits to site
• Required to pass a criminal background check
