Summary

About the Position: Serves as a Supply Technician (Motor Vehicle Operator) for the Army Expeditionary Civilian Workforce (AECW) Charge of Quarters (CQ) and Logistics Operation. Assists with a variety of administrative functions essential to the logistics and operation support for the Pre-Mobilization and Emergency Essential courses, to include the issuance and turn-in of equipment, coordination of personnel movement, security checks, transportation, etc.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Must hold a current valid state driver’s license.
May require the employee to work overtime as well as other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays. Assignment schedules requires continuous availability in the event of emergencies.
Must pass a urinalysis test prior to appointment and periodically thereafter due to operating a motor vehicle transporting one or more passengers on routine basis per Army Regulation (AR) 600-85.
Lifting, bending, and carrying up to 40 pounds is required to accept and deliver supplies, mail, meals, and other items.
Use of personal protective equipment may be required.
Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting inventory of excess property and/or equipment; assisting in issuance and turn-in of equipment/supplies; entering data into an automated tracking system; and operating up to 15 passenger vehicle. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--NO substitution of education for experience is permitted.
