Workrise is hiring a Support Engineer that will be responsible for troubleshooting problems experienced by our end-users by identifying and analyzing their issue. Our ideal candidate for this role will be someone who enjoys working with technology to provide solutions that help others thrive, has the desire to work in an environment surrounded by growth and learning opportunities, can communicate effectively, and take ownership of multiple tasks, all while working within a small team to support our employees facing problems related to hardware, software, and networking. This role will be exempt and will report to the Sr Support Engineer.

This is position will be based out of our corporate office in downtown Austin, TX. 

What you’ll be doing:
  • Service Desk (60% - 80%):
    • Be a point of contact for customers to obtain technical support
    • Configure desks, laptops, and software for new hires
    • Assist with the ticket queue for day-to-day IT requests
    • Update equipment inventory and maintain equipment stock with our approved vendors
    • Manage company-provided assets
    • Support Conference Room and AV equipment within the office 
    • Update and follow technical documentation, KB articles, How To documents, etc
  • Project work (20% - 40%):
    • Use technology and best practices to streamline procedures and automate tasks
    • Assist and collaborate with the IT Business Systems team and the IT Support Engineering team with the implementation of new solutions and manage all existing platforms
Experience and Education Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of end-user support experience and/or Google Workspace/Microsoft/CompTIA certification
  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
  • Experience with:
    • Google Workspace (G Suite) and/or Microsoft Office365 administration
    • Apple macOS and Microsoft Windows Windows 10
    • Strong communication skills in order to work with both IT specialists and non-IT employees. 
    • Demonstrate competency in troubleshooting
    • Able to multi-task and document several tasks at once
