Support Sales Representative

Boulder, Colorado - (Hybrid)

SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for renewing support contracts on existing customer equipment in assigned geographical territory.

  • Proactively informing customers of upcoming support contract expiration deadlines and managing the renewal process through to closure in a timely manner by removing barriers & effectively handling questions/objections as they arise.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and otherwise maximize the revenue potential of each renewal by presenting & positioning various aspects of our service offerings on behalf of the buyer's interests.
  • Fostering an educational & consultative relationship with our customers, striving to understand their specific situation & key business objectives, so that we are able to develop & communicate a compelling solution message from the customer's point of view in order to affect the perceived value of maintaining a service contract on their Spectra Logic product against the available alternatives.
  • Being subject matter experts on SpectraGuard support offerings and processes and acting as liaisons to Tech Support, Sales, Operations, OA, Finance, and other internal customers in all activities pertaining to support contracts, including pre/post-sales support and collaboration.
  • Continually looking for ways to improve operational processes and procedures, and going above and beyond day to day responsibilities in order to help those in other departments & roles achieve their objectives and ultimately the goals of the company.
  • Initiating and facilitating the renewal process through to closure for all contracts in assigned territory.
  • Acting as liaison for Tech Support, Sales, Sales Operations, OA, Finance, and external customers regarding questions relating to renewal support pricing/policies/etc.
  • Creating and distributing renewal quotes, contact and work with customers to identify and close upsell opportunities to maximize support revenue.
  • Responding to, research, follow up on all sales activities pertaining to renewals.
  • Managing support renewal notification and renewal order processing activities.
  • Discovering and maintaining customer database integrity, and maintaining complete/accurate records of renewal activity in support system of record and individual follow up systems/processes.
  • Working closely with product sales reps (inside and outside) to coordinate sales efforts across install base.
  • Managing revenue tracking, forecasts and sales reports for designated territory.


What you need to bring to the table
  • Self-starter, proactive, motivated, responsible with a passion for customer engagement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, professional and confident phone/email skills.
  • Ability to work toward common goals in a self-directed team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, strong understanding of sales cycles, processes, and techniques.
  • Technical aptitude to convey/articulate value based propositions to varied audiences, esp c-level.
  • Ability to work in situations where processes may be unclear and/or undocumented, can work under pressure and manage competing priorities with effective organization and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of computer products and/or industry.


It would be nice if you had
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • Business, sales or marketing background preferred.


COMPENSATION - $50,000 - $70,000
