Job Description
How will this role impact First Command?
Under the general direction of the Manager, Building Operations provides the day-to-day functions of the First Command's Concierge Services and operates the Home Office telephone console, and is the First Command Receptionist.
What will the employee do in this role?
- Handles approximately $1500-$2000 cash daily. Handles approximately $5000 ticket and stamp inventory. Balances cash drawer each day to account for sales, cash, checks, tickets and payouts to all vendors: and prepares a daily financial report to Financial Services.
- Ensures compliance with Fort Worth city food inspection requirements by maintaining up-to-date records and guidelines
- Maintains inventory at appropriate levels using bar code system for all products sold; keeps
- Accurate records of inventory; prepares sales and inventory reports; and processes vendor payments.
- Provides Concierge Services information to the corporate webmaster for posting on One Net; provides daily communication of the day's activities to employees and tenants.
- Receives and relays incoming calls on Home Office telephone console;. Determines callers' needs and routes calls to proper destination.
- Serves as security monitor for entry to the building; observes all employees and visitors to ensure they have badges. Issues badges to employees, contractors and visitors.
- Programs six Home Office marquees: announce birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions.
- Greets and assists all customers in the concierge and at the front desk.
- Assists with other projects assigned by the Manager, Building Operations, or the Director of Support Services.
What skills/qualifications do you need?
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Work Experience
- 1 year general office experience required
- At least 1 year experience in retail or similar customer service environment preferred
- 1 year receptionist/operator experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must be able to operate cash register
- Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Must be able to handle a crisis situation regarding security or emergency
- Basic computer skills
