Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.• Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.• Conduct performance reviews and set expectations and goals and objectives for employees.• Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.• Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods.• Confer with other supervisors and managers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.• Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees or assign employees to experienced workers for training.• Ability to perform and demonstrate all Manufacturing procedures after training.• Ability to train operators on manufacturing procedure.• Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.• Accurately completes all essential documents (i.e., Lab Notebooks, Device Master Records (DMR's), Lot History Records (LHR's), Inspections records and validation documentation).• Working understanding of Just-In-Time assembly procedures such as lot control, line clearance forms, and material requisitions.• Monitor (each morning and throughout the day) the sign-off of routing paperwork and verify the in-process testing is done on time and accurately.

What your background should look like:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors Degree (High School + 4 years). Minimum of 5 years experience as a production supervisor in a manufacturing environment; preferably medical device.
