Surety Account Manager
Job Description
The Surety Specialist/Surety Account Manager provides the highest level of customer service in servicing, supporting and coordinating clients' accounts.
Essential Duties:
- Primary contact for all surety bond requests from clients
- Supports issuance of new bonds, collecting needed documentation, and reviewing obligation details with client and surety
- Review contracts for relevant information and communicate appropriately to client and surety
- Request and collect quotes from sureties, provide quotes for bonds to clients
- Assist UM/Team Lead in compiling information for new business opportunities
- Input Client information into data management system
- Complete new account transitions including discovery of all existing bonds, setup of new account file, invoicing, data input, etc.
- Delegate invoicing to appropriate associate
- Engage with Producer and Accounting Department to appropriately determine action plan and assist in collection efforts or billing discrepancies
- Research industry trends and governmental regulations
- Develop and maintain dependable working relationship with carriers and other providers
- Engage in industry-related Associations & events
- Mentor and train junior-level staff
- Perform other responsibilities and duties as needed

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or years of experience equivalent
- 3-7 years of surety client services experience is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills required
- Understands industry trends and governmental regulations
- Ability to complete continuing education requirements as needed
- Ability to attend company, department, and team meetings as required, including industry training sessions
- Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of client and company information
- Ability to work independently, with a demonstrated understanding of when to involve the UM, Team Lead, Producer, and others
- Ability to efficiently organize work and manage time in order to meet deadlines
- Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft
- Ability to use office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, calculator, photocopier, and facsimile machine
- Ability to work on a computer for a prolonged amount of time
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
- Legally able to work in the United States
