Sushi Chef
Job Description

We are currently looking for a talentedSushi Chefto join our Midtown location. We are looking to hire a skilled chef with prior experience serving omakase.
Duties:
• Prepare various types of sushi dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.
• Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
• Inspect the quality of ingredients used to prepare sushi dishes and inform the Executive Chef when quality is sub-standard
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate food orders and ensure timely delivery
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
• Assist in menu planning and development of new sushi dishes
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and special requests
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef
• Prior experience serving omakase
• In-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and presentation
• Strong knife skills and ability to handle kitchen equipment with precision
• Familiarity with dietary restrictions and ability to accommodate special requests
• Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the culinary field
• Ability to interact with customers and create a fun dining experience

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
