Sustainability Analyst – Job Description

Department & Team: Global Sustainability Team
Reports to: Chief Sustainability Officer
Location: Virtual

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented sustainability professional who is passionate about making a difference.

The Sustainability Analyst will help implement, achieve, refine, and report on Genesys' environmental, social and governance goals, targets and reduction, and broader sustainability evolution. The Sustainability Analyst will leverage our systems to support the evolution of dashboards and processes to track and report on progress to internal and external stakeholders. The role is responsible for important data analysis, collection, substantiation, and assurance, as well as research, materials, and coordination for significant cross-functional work.

Key Responsibilities:

• The Sustainability Analyst will help implement, achieve, refine, and report on Genesys’ global sustainability program goals including environmental and social goals, targets and reduction, and broader sustainability program evolution
• Conducting the data reporting procedure for CSRD implementation, involving data gathering, validation, analysis, and generating reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Overseeing the carbon accounting process to precisely quantify, monitor, and disclose greenhouse gas emissions, while also aiding in the formulation of a reporting framework for Scope 3 emissions.
• This analyst will leverage sustainability software and support the evolution of dashboards and processes to track and report on progress to internal and external stakeholders
• This role will also support supplier self-assessment, verification, and capacity-building and impact reduction programs; further, incorporate these into Genesys’ strategic model; and environmental self-assessment, verification, and improvement
• The role is responsible for important data analysis, collection, substantiation, and assurance, as well as research, materials, and coordination for significant cross-functional work
• Collect, analyze, and substantiate climate, supply chain, social (lives impacted) and other sustainability data
• Support customer proposal and RFP requests
• Support dashboard creation and track progress toward goals and targets
• This work will include CSRD, CDP Climate, EcoVadis, TCFD, SASB, Genesys’ Sustainability Report, and other reporting to, and engagement with internal/external stakeholders
• Provide support by conducting research, identifying best practices, support meetings and councils and presentation materials
• Create content for communicating about Genesys’ sustainability work to internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Requirements:

• Strong understanding of science-based targets and CSRD, CDP Climate, TCFD and ideally knowledge of sustainability reporting including GRI, EcoVadis and SASB
• Project management and PPT experience
• Experience with software helpful
• Other knowledge of and experience with, ESG related issues helpful
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent excel and PPT skills
• Strong interpersonal skills/diplomacy and sound judgment, flexible work style
• BA/BS in environmental sustainability, a degree related to quantitative analysis discipline, ideally with a combination of quantitative and qualitative focus
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably fast-paced work in corporate environmental sustainability, related to corporate climate and/or sustainable supply chains
