Sustainability Analyst

Job Summary

The Sustainability Analyst will be working with the sustainability team and other departments to ensure accurate, timely waste diversion reports are sent to clients. The position reports directly to the SVP, Sustainability.

The successful candidate will work with the Analytics team to assist in ongoing data reporting, conduct data quality audits and prepare customized reporting for client needs.

This position is for the RTS - Columbus Ohio office, and you will be asked to work from this office (2) days per week, Monday and Tuesday until or unless the current policy changes. All other days can be remote as desired.

Essential responsibilities:

• Oversees and ensures accuracy in data collection, reporting, and other efforts for all sustainability diversion reports
• Creates accurate and detailed reports for clients and management.
• Analyzes data used in sustainability metrics to identify inconsistences and opportunities and to support decision making for clients
• Compiles, analyzes, and ensures completeness of data for other assessment tools as needed
• Collaborates with staff across Operations, Project Management, etc., to track, analyze and improve data performance related to waste
• Updates all relevant databases for report tracking and delivery
• Communicates with clients regarding report status, availability of data, issues noted by internal tams such as contamination, and assist clients as able related to data and reporting

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• LEED credential or willingness to achieve
• TRUE Zero Waste credential or willingness to achieve
• Strong quantitative skills
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Experience managing large data sets and running advanced analytics
• Experience utilizing Airtable, Snowflake and Power Bi
• Knowledge of multiple sustainability rating and certification systems preferred
• Experience developing and implementing sustainability concepts and strategies as demonstrated through actual project or program work with demonstrable results.
• Understanding of metrics tracking across sustainability topic areas such as waste and climate
• Must have interpersonal, communication, public speaking skills, and strong written communication skills
• Self-motivator who is comfortable working away from the primary corporate headquarters of a fast-paced company
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented and organized with proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

• LEED Certification - desirable
• TRUE Advisor - desirable

Starting Salary: $55,000
