Job Description: Sustainability Co-Ordinator
Purpose
The role holder will be responsible for assisting the Sustainability Manager with the implementation of NaughtOne’s ‘A Better World’ strategy. You will be an integral support in our 4 key strategic focuses; Reduce Carbon Footprint, Source Better Materials, Design out Waste and Empowering Communities. You will play a crucial role of data collection and analysis and enhancing data quality and availability.
Responsibilities/Key Deliverables
- Assist with reporting on NaughtOne’s performance against our sustainability targets, working primarily with Product Management, Design, Marketing and Procurement.
- Responsible for the creation of life cycle analyses for our product portfolio and modelling carbon data for new products. Training will be provided.
- Assist with the monitoring and reporting of carbon reductions.
- Assisting in the development of a product scorecard to ensure sustainability is prioritised from the initial design phase of our furniture. This involves standardising data across our entire product range to establish a fair and consistent evaluation criteria.
- Help to manage global compliance of our products.
- Gathering data from various sources and establishing a centralised source of truth.
- Creating internal and external communications.
- Providing support for key sustainability projects during their implementation.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- A current university of Leeds student looking to undertake a part time, term time opportunity
- High level of excel skill, data visualisation and analysis
- Attention to detail
- Can write in a clear and concise manner appropriate to purpose and audience
- Critical thinking, logic and problem-solving skills
- Must have a high level of energy, initiative, positivity, resilience and a ‘can-do’ solutions-focused attitude
- Should possess a genuine passion for sustainability and addressing climate change
Dimension of role
Based from the NaughtOne Head Office at Central House in Harrogate, this is an interim, part time position reporting directly to the Sustainability Manager.
