About You and this Role
Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Data Reporting Analyst
This position can be located at any Dow site globally. Virtual office may also be considered.
This role works closely with the EHS&S Excellence Group, Environmental Technology Center Data & Information Management team, business Technology Centers, EH&S Improvement Leaders and the Environmental Expertise team to manage global company Environmental Data. The role involves data design, extraction, automation, visualization (dashboards and reports), implementation and support for the global data service delivery model for EHS&S, with an emphasis on Environmental performance and compliance data.
Growth and development of data visualization is the primary focus to deliver a highly reliable, accurate and traceable framework of data. The role also has global impact as it partners and collaborates with key global strategic functions (IT/OT, DOC, EHS&S Excellence DSS, etc.).
This role will report administratively to the Environmental Reporting Expertise Director and be part of the GEI Reporting Team which aligns to the EHS&S Technology Center.
Responsibilities
- Automate repetitive data gathering and reporting processes.
- Troubleshoot and develop data interfaces (SAP/DSR, other applications) and Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and databases.
- Validate consistency and monitor completeness of reported data.
- In collaboration with facilities, sites, businesses, and technology centers improve on accuracy and timeliness of reporting to meet internal and external requirements (ex. ESG, INtersections, WLO goals, etc.)
- Coordinate and manage service growth projects, support development and implementation with IT/OT, IS and EHS&S Excellence DSS functions ensuring strong alignment to the global EHS&S digital strategy.
- Develop a deep understanding of the current Environmental data systems, broader EHS&S data, and the relationships between the manufacturing data (ex. IP-21). Advance activity to connect various data sets and reporting into a single report by streamlining the process.
- Develop and utilize relationships across the company to achieve the desired step change improvement in environmental data credibility.
- Develop and manage relationships with sites and technology centers to obtain valued input and effectively drive improved waste and emission accounting methodologies.
- Lead components of change management necessary to successfully implement improvements in reporting.
The Candidate Must
- Have strong interpersonal skills to interface with multiple stakeholders.
- Effectively manage differences between how data is segmented externally vs. internally for various reporting needs.
- Be able to synthesize a technical problem into solutions and communicate to different audiences effectively, including clients all over the world in different regulatory environments.
- Be able to work independently and with broad conceptual ideas.
- Be able to coordinate activities and collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders during solution implementation.
- Handle sensitive material in a confidential manner.
- Possess excellent knowledge of database systems, with ability to create and run database queries.
- Possess experience with Power BI and SAP.
Qualifications
- A minimum of an Associates degree.
- At least 5 years EH&S, manufacturing or other related experience.
- Applicable to Candidates Located in U.S. and Canada Only: A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States or Canada. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Environmental Requirements and Information.
- At least 2 years data analytics/information management experience.
- Proficiency in data visualization and analysis with Power BI.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
