To us, a Sustainability (ESG) Intern is …someone who is smart, open, curious, driven, and accountable.  More specifically, you’re interested in learning about how companies foster sustainable environments, sustainable communities and sustainable business practices. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to pursue a career in social responsibility, sustainability, business, non-profits or data. Interns will report to the Head of ESG and support projects that help us to continuously improve our Environmental, Social and Governance programs. You can expect to work alongside other interns in our Operations, People and Culture, and Marketing, departments as well as participate in a learning and development program that offers career tips and guidance.  

Some example projects and daily tasks include (but are not limited to):  

• Gathering data to measure our corporate greenhouse gas impact 
• Supporting initiatives in process to reduce our energy use 
• Researching green energy options 
• Working with our Brand team to promote our efforts internally and externally 
• Working to partner with global non-profit organizations 

Competitive candidates… 

• Are pursuing educational coursework in ESG, data, natural and social sciences, business 
• Have experience working with cross-functional teams to solve challenges collaboratively 
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Have research skills and some Excel experience; are comfortable making outreach by phone 
• Are self-starters, proposing solutions to problems with data and research
