The Sustainability Project Manager will support the global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Sustainability Team through cross-functional engagement to support corporate sustainability ambitions and strategy. They will ensure strategic projects supporting these initiatives meet deadlines and accomplish objectives. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication, relationship, and time management skills with an interest in improving systems and processes to help sustainability-focused work for a global manufacturing company.

Role Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule and coordinate projects and tasks related to sustainability and ESG initiatives. Demonstrate a process-oriented and organized approach to project management with a general focus on efficiency and value driven results.
• Enable change management for program initiatives and possess a continuous improvement mindset.
• Help identify and manage internal and external partners, helping to capture and communicate objectives, and using effective project management processes.
• Serve as the main point of contact for major projects and help to communicate and coordinate with internal and external participants. Drive preparation and follow-up to ensure tasks are captured and deadlines are met.
• Support the annual ESG and sustainability reporting process, which includes utilizing a reporting solution platform to track data and content for external disclosures.
• Organize and lead internal activities including working meetings, program performance reporting, major milestones and action item tracking, etc.
• Enlist assistance of corporate resources to keep projects on task.
• Work in a global environment - impacting programs that span multiple regions.
• Manage project documents to ensure easy accessibility during and after the execution of a project. This includes applying a consistent naming and organization structure.
• Assist with updating the external sustainability website and intranet content for employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 4+ years of experience managing internal and external projects and partnerships

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow tasks through to completion
• Ability to productively collaborate and build strong professional relationships
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adjust tone and message
• Adaptable, welcomes changes, quickly develops new solutions, wants to learn and grow
• Deep understanding of and experience with sustainability-related topics and trends
• Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks and standards, environmental regulations, climate change protocols, including TCFD, SASB, GRI, CDP, UN Sustainable Development Goals, Greenhouse Gas Protocol
• Familiarity with an ESG materiality assessment, data verification and assurance
• Knowledge of ESG raters and rankings
• Experience with effectively collaborating with senior leaders across multiple businesses and functions
• Experience building consensus among a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Experience with global corporate business practices and systems
• Creative problem-solver with strong analytical skills
• Superb oral communicator with excellent presentation skills
• Manufacturing company experience
