Sustainability, Resilience and ESG Program Engagement Coordinator (Global)

Our world demands low carbon energy solutions to achieve a Net Zero future

We are hiring for a Sustainability, Resilience and ESG Program Engagement Coordinator who will be responsible for crafting, managing, developing and effectively engaging with a growing community of interest around sustainability, resilience, and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) issues among internal employees.

This role will lead the community in exploring and promoting opportunities for market-relevant and best-in-class services in S+R+ESG, while building excitement and encouraging engagement and collaboration among members.

In an ever changing world, it requires creativity and innovation to stay ahead.

We're seeking the curious, those who are stimulated by fresh thinking and a desire to shape our communities in new, positive ways.

As part of a truly distributed team, working on complex and rewarding projects, you'll be at the forefront of driving change. See what the power of commitment can do for you.

And as we look to transition from traditional energy sources to adopt more renewable alternatives, you can play a key role in enabling and accelerating this change.

We'll support you every step of the way as you join us in finding sustainable energy solutions to make a positive impact that will last for generations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage internal collaborators to participate in the community of interest and provide guidance and direction to members.
  • Plan and facilitate regular community of interest meetings, events, workshops and communications, to discuss S+R+ESG-related topics and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal businesses to facilitate alignment and integration of sustainability and ESG initiatives with the company's consulting services in this space.
  • Work with client-facing teams to integrate S+R+ESG considerations into the company's consulting services and provide a level of subject matter expertise to clients.
  • Monitor and report on S+R+ESG-related developments and trends to advise the community of interest, internal departments, and client-facing teams.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key partners and leaders with vision in the S+R+ESG space to improve the company's reputation and influence in the market.
  • Provide support to the S+R+ESG Reference Group as it relates to program engagement, by, for example, helping build internal communications (e.g. PowerPoint's) for various audiences (such as Enterprise Leadership Team), helping the Service Line community populate the Knowledge Hub, and supporting the implementation of GHD's go-to market strategy.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science, sustainability, business, engineering, communication or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sustainability, resilience, or ESG-related roles, with a proven ability and/or drive to collaborate with internal GHD businesses.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability, resilience, and ESG-related issues, including current trends and emerging practices.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage internal collaborators.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated projects and initiatives, with strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Experience working with client-facing teams and integrating sustainability, resilience, and ESG considerations into consulting services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and collaborative attitude.
