Position Summary:

This role's main function is to help develop and drive a superior customer experience in sustainability for Bunge's Food Business customer base - big and small. This is a customer demand and data insights role, requiring research and designing response. This role will expose you to every corner of Bunge's four oil businesses: Bulk Oils, Refining Oils, Tropical Oils and Canada (Canola) in a fast-growing plant-based oils industry, driven by Sustainability opportunities. Through this role, you will build a sophisticated knowledge base on a customers' sustainability interests and key needs. With your knowledge base, you will become a source of expert advice to help design commercial sustainability solutions for the Food Solutions team, to keep Bunge as a sustainability leader in the Agri-food industry

Key Functions to succeed

  1. Customer Response & Reporting
  • Coordinate customer responses to sustainability inquires and rolling surveys, across functional departments including Legal, Govt Affairs, Procurement, Customer Service/Quality Service & key subject matter experts on the Sustainability team
  • The Response portfolio includes completing Traceability requests, as we approach our 2025 Deforestation goals; Completing Request for information (RFI)/Request for Proposals (RFP) to promote Bunge's Sustainability offerings; Diversity Spend reporting and Regen Agriculture

  1. Customer inquiry Log
  • Demand insights will be created though Logging all past and incoming Customer inquiries to build a dynamic data inventory of categorized customer requests. (This categorization will contribute to our on-going Customer demand and segmentation needs and analysis)

  1. Customer & market research
  • Attend key industry events to follow trends and issues in the Agri-food/Oilseed industry
  • Keep abreast and informed of Bunge's Top 15 Global and Key NA Customer news related to Sustainability (earnings call, Sustainability reports, media headlines)
  • You will be responsible for handling a sub-set of the Global and Key Accounts Portfolio.
  • Develop a monthly Customer Alert - an internal monthly communication on the key Sustainability Topics of the Month related to a real customer experience. This internal

  1. Content development & Dissemination
  • Complete market and customer research to inform the Global and Key Accounts teams before bilateral Customer meetings (i.e., Quarterly Business reviews; 1:1 ESG/Sustainability meetings) Sustainability content can be sourced internally from our Government Affairs & Sustainability team, our growth platform teams (Protein and Regen Ag) and externally through market & media research

  1. Bunge Policies
  • Understand Bunge's policies related to a) Sustainability commitments (i.e., SBTi and Non- Deforestation, Sustainable Palm); b) emerging sustainability growth areas (Regen Agriculture/Biodiversity, Plant-based foods/Alt protein, Diversity Spend reporting) and c) key industry and regulatory risks (i.e., Human rights, Waste/Packaging)

Characteristics to succeed

  • Appetite to learn fast, Agility, Precision, Preparation, Patience and Frequent engagement with internal stakeholders and external customers

Experience required

  • 3-5 years of work experience in production agriculture and/or corporate sustainability
  • College degree with coursework in Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, Research, Sustainability, Marketing is preferred
