Within Global Corporate Affairs at Moody's, the Communications teams are responsible for inspiring and enabling meaningful connections among their stakeholders. The Employee Communications & Executive Visibility team engages employees globally through storytelling experiences to strengthen Moody's culture and brand perception.
Role/Responsibilities
As a senior leader on our team, you will help build, execute, and sustain global employee engagement initiatives, enabling outcomes to help strengthen our corporate culture and achieve business results. You will collaborate with teammates across Global Corporate Affairs to offer strategic communications counsel and solutions to our partners across the business aimed at transforming the way employees think, act and lead. Critical to the role will be leading and advocating for ongoing enhancements to the processes and systems enabling our work. You'll also help advance the strategic vision for our growing team, building on your experience as a results-oriented, creative storyteller to help us think outside of the box to impact our company's shared priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor, counsellor, and coach to senior executives. Partner with executives to increase their impact as brand advocates and guide them through strategic internal and external positioning. Help individual executives develop their voice in an authentic, engaging, and substantive manner.
- Partner with colleagues across the enterprise to design and execute strategies and messaging that further enhances employee engagement, reinforces our corporate priorities, and articulates our evolving employee value proposition.
- Provide proactive communications advice and support as a relationship manager to senior partners in our primary lines of business, distilling ideas, strategies, and results succinctly and persuasively in a meaningful way to inform, empower, and inspire Moody's colleagues.
- Lead and inspire teams of storytellers across a range of communications areas, from content development and event experience strategy to execution .
- Influence, drive and sustain a dynamic, tech-enabled employee events strategy, spanning virtual, hybrid and in-person experiences, with clearly defined objectives and measurable outcomes.
Strategic enablement
- Develop and maintain relationships at all levels across the company, acting as a strategic liaison to connect corporate initiatives through comprehensive narratives, creative stories, and integrated communications strategies.
- Manage the strategic deployment of user-centric communications and experiences focused on creating sustained, meaningful connections and conversations among employees.
- Develop and hone our content in alignment with our tone and style to ensure it remains clear, concise, and compelling.
- Identify and manage key metrics to assess the effectiveness of communications and to identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a dynamic communications professional with a demonstrated track record of success in a global organization and proven leadership in communications strategy development and implementation. They will have a bachelor's degree with approximately 15-20 years of communications and/or marketing experience.
Other qualifications include:
- Experience developing, leading, and executing comprehensive internal communication strategies within a multi-national corporation using various communication mediums.
- Stellar leadership skills and strong executive presence, complementing outstanding technical communication skills along with an ability to manage stakeholder expectations, as well as build lasting rapport through interpersonal and relationship-building skills .
- Strong knowledge of common and innovative communication and event channels and trends, as well as an understanding of how they contribute to employee engagement - this includes content management systems, collaborations tools and user experience principals.
- Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to develop original content and programs with minimal guidance, coupled with appreciation for scalable processes to ensure efficient execution.
- Experience as a trusted advisor to high-level executives is important.
- Exceptional writing and editing ability, as well as high attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and navigate a variety of activities in a dynamic, fast-paced, matrixed environment coupled with strong organizational skills to lead multiple projects simultaneously, while also managing and mitigating risk instinctively.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $ 214 950 to $ 271 050, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
