Golin is seeking a Senior Vice President to join one our largest technology account teams in Dallas. This client work is comprised of a full range of corporate reputation, corporate communications and technology brand and product positioning counsel, integrated marketing campaign development and media strategy and execution. Our ideal candidate is located in Dallas, is a seasoned communications professional with deep experience in planning and executing holistic earned and owned campaigns, advising c-suite executives, and applying creative and strategic thinking to unearth fresh ideas and solutions to drive client success and grow relationships.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as our client leader for a Fortune 500 technology provider that has an unmatched history driving innovations that impact consumer and a range of products and vertical industries
  • Lead holistic campaigns on behalf of your client’s business – having a big picture look at opportunities and challenges
  • Be a “go to” strategic resource for your clients and an ambassador for thinking differently with innovative and business-outcome driven programs
  • Help to guide and drive big ideas with you clients and teams
  • Connect the dots as it relates to bringing thoughtful and creative solutions to business problems (for client and Agency)
  • Be responsible for the financial success for a book of business within the technology practice
  • Serve as lead agency client contact, cultivating and maintaining productive relationships at senior levels of the organization
  • Become an expert on the client’s business challenges and opportunities, offer proactive and unsolicited counsel, ideas and programming that achieves client objectives
  • Provide leadership to the account team, enabling, stimulating, and challenging the team to deliver powerful, integrated ideas and solutions for your clients based on business goals, research, and relevant insights
  • Regularly seek client feedback on the agency’s performance and promote team and accomplishments
  • Use experience and forward-thinking to identify and calculate risk, and help guide your team and your clients through it to get to better work
  • Cultivate positive morale and reinforce a sense of camaraderie across your teams and the agency
  • Continuously raise the bar to develop yourself and your team

What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in PR, journalism, marketing communications and related field
  • 12-15 years of agency and/or client-side experience in all facets of communications, including corporate reputation, brand positioning, media relations, product launches, thought leadership, executive visibility and holistic campaigns (earned, owned and paid)
  • You are based out of Dallas, TX
  • Proven track record of providing sound counsel to leaders at the C-suite level
  • Ability to build strong relationships and immerse yourself in the client’s business
  • Experience leading and mentoring cross-functional teams
  • Time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple deliverables and timelines at once
  • Experience managing financials, including budgets and billing, projections, and staffing
  • Experience managing P&Ls for individual businesses and/or group of businesses  
  • Track record of delivering strong financial results and organic business growth
  • Expert at leading and pitching plans, ideas and campaigns, in addition to proposals for new business development
  • Experience with leading analytics and measurement efforts tied to a brand’s customer journey (beyond just share of voice)
  • Superb people management skills with the ability to attract, motivate, empower, coach, and retain staff
  • Charismatic and effective presentation skills – the ability to artfully tell a story
  • Experience working with ingredient technology (semiconductors, subsystems, software) and end products and systems, and with a myriad of verticals – a definite plus!

Salary range: $150,000 - $260,000

Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations.
