The Senior Vice President - Financial Accounting will be responsible for the smooth, efficient, and timely operation of the accounting department and best in class internal financial controls throughout the organization. The individual will be responsible for the oversight of annual audits for domestic and international entities. This role also supports the effective, timely financial reporting of the finance department including system support. Ensures that generally accepted accounting principles and industry best practices are followed for all domestic and international SBM business entities. The SVP will identify, and champion cost saving initiatives and improves business controls.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of internal financial policies that meet GAAP/IFAS standards and best in class internal controls without adversely impacting business operations.
- Supports adherence to established procedures, measures compliance with appropriate communications, recognition, and accountability programs.
- Overall Responsibility for the following functions (some through subordinate managers): Cash Management/Treasury, Billing and Collection, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Financial Reporting, Audit Relationships, Primary sponsor for UKG and other core financial systems
- Actively engage Finance team to support Financial Reporting as well as training of Finance Managers
- Actively interface with internal and external customers and vendors to identify and execute areas of continuous improvement (cost, quality, and efficiency). Ensure that each of these functions have meaningful metrics (KPI's) that are reported regularly to the Senior Teamwork with IT to ensure that UKG reporting and BI meet operating needs of the organization.
- Directly supports Operations in preparation of existing budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification for both internal and external use Identify and champion cost savings and business control improvements
- Ensure the department meets the needs of a growing organization by fully leveraging the ERP and other systems/procedures and best practices
- Partner with VP of Finance and CFO on FP&A and B&P support and initiatives to be defined and updated on a quarterly basis. This will include company level financial analysis Assist with Real Estate Financial Reporting and projects as needed

Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, or a related field from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation: $200,000 - $250,000 per year
