Job Description

Accountable for developing the vision and strategy for Dematic's Global Supply Chain organization that aligns with the enterprise priorities and strategy. Drives the organization to achieve sustainable business performance and value creation. This role will own Dematic's global manufacturing, procurement, global process and SAP4H roll out, and planning & delivery functions.

Execute and provide strategic leadership on global supply chain best practices and continuous improvement efforts to improve purchasing and manufacturing costs, and better predict the demands of customers. Accountable for the performance, quality, and efficiency of the global Supply Chain organization. Identify capabilities that drive supply reliability, maximize cost efficiencies, and enable solutions for critical projects. Proactively lead and empower the supply chain organization to seek out operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Collaborate on the development of annual and long-range strategic roadmaps and STRAP budgets. Evaluate talent and build organizational strength through coaching and team building. Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities across the global supply chain operations.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
  • MBA or other related advance degree preferred.
  • Training and/or certification in Lean manufacturing and 6 Sigma tools
Knowledge / Qualifications:
  • 15-20 years of overall supply chain or manufacturing management experience; must have global experience
  • Ability to design and build organizational improvement programs
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Lean 6 Sigma practices and training techniques
  • Experience in turnaround, start up, and closure situations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems
  • Skilled performance coach with ability to build strong, cohesive, high performing teams.
  • Ability to network and communicate with all levels of the company and across the globe
  • Visionary, continuously updating industry knowledge
  • Innovative and able to challenge the status quo
  • Demonstrated success leading cross functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; day-to-day management and communications is a must
  • Experience with Unions, Works Council workforces.
  • High attention to detail with solid organization, project management, and planning skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 40%
