About the job
Twilio is seeking an SVP to take full ownership of product, engineering and UX for Twilio’s Flex business unit; one of our fastest growing businesses. Flex is at the heart of Twilio’s strategic priorities and is transforming how businesses and customers communicate with each other. The GM owns the business success of the product. You will directly manage the product management and engineering teams, while working closely with Marketing, Sales, and Finance, among others, to fuel customer growth, new customer acquisition and launching new products to unlock new markets.
In this role, you’ll:
- Own product roadmap that delivers products and features that will help drive revenue growth. Â
- Responsible for P&L for a sizable portion of the company's revenue. Â
- Lead strategy, planning, and execution to ensure we continue to meet and exceed customer demand.Â
- Continue to build, manage and develop a world-class product and engineering organization.
- Collaborate with customers and cross-functional stakeholders to define new platform capabilities and solutions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Support, Finance, etc.) to identify accurate go-to-market strategies which include product plans and pricing frameworks.
- Identify, manage and drive performance metrics across the organization.
- Remove barriers to the organization’s success by fostering strong stakeholder relationships and a relentless focus on the big picture. Â
- Drive innovation by owning and solving complex new challenges in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.
- Build diverse teams and seek out unique points of view to deliver products that reflect the global population and make communication more inclusive for all.
- Promote a positive work environment; select and train new team members; continuously provide feedback, mentoring, and coaching to existing team members. Manage, build, and develop cross-functional product teams.

Required:
Twilio is looking for a leader who lives the Twilio Magic and has:
- Several years of experience building and leading international product management and engineering teams of several hundred people.
- Entrepreneurial, business builder mindset with a track record of operating at an executive level, helping to grow a mission-critical SaaS / Cloud Services product.
- 15+ years of hands-on leadership experience within product management, engineering and P&L experience needed.
- 3+ years experience with customer engagement products.Â
- Track record as a General Manager (running Engineering and Product teams at scale) is preferred
- Experience growing and managing a P&L of $500M or more.
- Experience managing global teams in a high-growth technology company.
- The ability to synthesize all inputs and develop a crisp product roadmap.
- Proven experience building complex platforms at scale and providing product direction to exceed customer needs.
- Analytical with the ability to grasp and translate strategic business decisions and their quantitative implications.
- Experience exceeding business targets including growth, revenue, and more.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions with incomplete information based on business demands.
- Detail-orientation with great organizational skills, comfortable with ambiguity and ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and concrete action plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to be personable, yet persistent.
- Entrepreneurial and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy.

This role will be remote but ideally be based remotely in the United States

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in Colorado: $424,000 - $529,000
- Based in New York, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $424,000 - $529,000
- Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $424,000 - $529,000
- This role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan and the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.Â
