Job Summary

Leads and oversees the build out of marketing science capabilities and the Data Sciences team within blu. This includes establishing process for data collection, data analysis and data presentation to inform descriptive and predictive analytics. This role will manage and train a team of Data Scientists dedicated to blu. in addition to collaborating with blu. Engineers.

What You'll Do

40%-Data Processing & Workflows for blu. Data Sets

  • Joining/calibration/sampling/calculations & stat significance rules
  • Spec writing for Engineers using data in AWS and dimensionalizing data
  • Taxonomies for data sets
  • Deep understanding/working knowledge of all blu. data sets
  • Inputs into Audience Insights UI

40%- Leads Data Science Outputs and Portfolio of Capabilities

  • Audience insights & planning
  • Audience validation and measurement
  • Optimizations & retargeting
  • Productizes Analytics techniques using blu. data and tech

20%-Training Data Scientists (NY, LA)

  • Process and analytics outputs
  • Ensure quality queries, trouble-shoot with Engineers
  • On-boarding of new hires
  • Advanced Statistics
  • blu. data dictionaries

Who You Are

  • Someone who likes to tell stories with data, uncover insights
  • Ability to effectively communicate/speak the language of Data Scientists and Engineers
  • Independent contributor

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • BA/BS from accredited school required
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in Analytics/Insights/Tech, 15+ overall
  • Advanced Statistics
  • Qualitive & Quantitative Methods
  • Proven experience with large structured and unstructured data sets
  • Team management experience
  • SQL, Python, R

Salary Range

$250,000.00 - $500,000.00

A successful applicant's actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
