The Role

Joining CARET at this exciting time in our transformation you will be able to have an immediate impact. We are seeking a highly skilled SVP, Product with a storied history in the software product development sector, to join the Leadership team. This person would be the product leader to lead all product efforts at CARET.

The SVP, Product will be tasked with making product development decisions on behalf of the company, including managing a product development budget and making investments to align the company with their vision for its technological needs. The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, and an expert in software product development.

The mission of the role is to provide visionary leadership to shape, guide, and oversee CARET's Product Development's rapid growth.

Requirements

  • Understand the value proposition of our offerings across key verticals and drive strategy and execution to increase market share, retain and grow a customer base of more than 10,000.
  • Driving CARET's thought leadership strategy within our product delivery process by considering input from:
    • Product delivery teams, including design, product management, software, and engineering
    • Marketing and sales teams
    • Customer success and professional services teams
    • Prospective customers, including customers of competitors
    • Competitors and other players in legal and accounting technology
  • Continuously improve our systems for gathering the above input; ensure that our product-delivery organization is making data-driven decisions.
  • Own the strategy to accelerate the adoption of analytics and AI within our platform by driving thought leadership and developing best practices in the AI and machine learning domains within the industry; work with CARET product teams to maintain a cutting-edge analytics roadmap.
  • Approve product roadmaps and priorities; represent the voice of the marketplace in product discussions, drive level of spend on all product delivery functions relative to other company priorities; use products to aggressively drive growth.
  • Approve specific product designs; drive revisions and high-quality ending output with product management and design teams; question platform and engineering decisions where they impact user-facing functionality and current or future engineering scope.
  • Lead a team of internal product-domain experts who are responsible for synthesizing market feedback, analyzing legal and accounting technology trends and competitive landscape, and providing real-life practice experience to inform product planning.
  • Continue building the best tech product teams in the world, including hiring, coaching, developing, and inspiring other domain experts.
  • Make final decisions on products as necessary.
  • Articulate product visions and strategy and impact of new product development to the company, our go-to-market organization, our customer base, and the broader market.
  • Working with other product leaders to prepare and present executive and board of directors' presentations that articulate the product vision and strategy for CARET.

  • Strong process orientation - able to design, orchestrate and lead the product management teams in CARET's secure development lifecycle, client engagements, sales interaction, support triage etc.

The compensation information below is provided in compliance with job posting disclosure requirements.

Pay range: $250,000 - $280,000. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including the position, location, individual qualifications, market finances, and other operations business needs.

Depending on the position, compensation may also include commission, bonuses, etc. Potential for bonuses is based on company performance and potential for merit increases is based on performance.
