The Senior Vice President, Risk Management Strategy (SVP, RMS) will work across the organization to support risk management. This leader will be a highly technical expert with specialized knowledge and subject matter expertise on enterprise-wide financial and program risk. Â
- Collaborate with 1st line of defense in discussing and resolving control gaps, risk trends, risk issues and incidents while also providing credible challenge of their assertions, assumptions, and conclusions.Â
- Partner with the relevant technology, business units and other support functions to develop a perspective on business disruption risk and ensure consideration of evolving regulatory expectations.Â
- Member of the Risk Senior Leadership Team (RSLT) – The RSLT is a group of peers with individual leadership roles in Risk and a commitment to working across business units to achieve organizational goals. RSLT members collaborate to ensure priorities and resources are aligned to successfully implement Risk strategies. Â
- Ensure Risk Management has a consistent, system-wide view and understanding of the combined current and future internal and external risks of the business and their inter-relationships. Â
- Lead in-depth reviews including quantitative and qualitative analyses, to identify emerging risks, root causes, interdependencies, risk trajectories and related findings to determine areas that require focus in our Fixed Income area. Â
- Ensuring global consistency of policies, procedures, analysis, monitoring and reporting of market risk.
- Innovation of risk management capabilities.
- Build solid relationships in the front office, operational, risk management, and other support functions related to the area of coverage.Â
- Develop presentations for executive management and senior risk managers, including reporting to boards and risk committees.Â
- Strong people skills demonstrated across various communication styles (both written and verbal).
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize across several competing demands, managing to deadlines.
 Requirement: Â
- Bachelor’s degree required; M.B.A. or Masters-level degree in business, finance, or risk education preferred.Â
- At least ten (10) years of proven and progressive experience in financial services preferred. Â
- Strong project management and organizational skills with experience of working to deadlines within a highly dynamic environment.
- Proven track record in stakeholder management including exposure to senior stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with business partners, superiors, and subordinates.
- Enthusiastic, intellectually curious and seeks to understand the different areas of the firm.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and able to present to senior stakeholders with impact and influence.
- Able to manage multiple work streams simultaneously while working effectively both as an individual and as part of a team.

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office.Â
Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives.Â
The base salary range for this role is
$187,500—$357,500 USD
Global Atlantic reserves the right to modify the qualifications and requirements for this position to accommodate business needs and regulatory changes. Future adjustments may include obtaining specific licenses or certifications to comply with operational needs and conform to applicable industry-specific regulatory requirements, state and federal laws.
