More importantly, TCO considerations for running these models at scale are becoming a bottleneck to meet exploding demand. Hyperscalers are keen on how to gain COGS efficiencies with the trillions of AI inferences/day they are already serving, but certainly for addressing the steep demand ramp they are anticipating in the next couple of years. d-Matrix is addressing this problem head on by developing a fully digital in memory computing accelerator for AI inference that is highly optimized for the computational patterns in Transformers. The fully digital approach removes some of the difficulties of analog techniques that are most often touted in pretty much all other in-memory computing AI inference products. d-Matrix's AI inference accelerator has also been architected as a chiplet, thereby enabling both a scale-up and scale-out solution with flexible packaging options. The d-Matrix team has a stellar track record in developing and commercializing silicon at scale as senior execs at the likes of Inphi, Broadcom, and Intel. Notably, they recognized early the extremely important role of programmability and the software stack and are thoughtfully building up the team in this area even since before their Series A. The company has raised $50m+ in funding so far and has 70+ employees across Silicon Valley, Toronto, Sydney and Bengaluru.

The role

This role is responsible for the effective management of SW projects across d-Matrix SW organization.

• Translation of product requirements into Engineering requirements, projects and tasks. Ownership of definition, tracking and delivery of SW requirements for Compiler FE, BE and Runtime teams.
• Participation in customer meetings as required - especially those defining SoW deliverables involving SW teams. Ensuring milestones and commitments are aligned with SW development plans.
• Running a weekly SW Implementation meeting that tracks progress of all SW activities in the company. Ensuring all SW groups are on same-page with milestones, delivering to corporate MBOs and individual group MBOs.
• Management of xfunctional dependencies between SW groups, as well as verification and hardware groups.
• Management of task inter-dependencies between runtime SW, compiler BE and Compiler FE activities and simulation, emulation, systems engineering and product management.
• Ensuring the distributed SW organization is on same-page with Architecture teams, as well as product and software teams and leadership team.
• Preparing and presenting materials to update leadership team on SW progress via the Weekly Operations meeting.
• Running the SW implementation and XFunctional Dependency meetings to track SW development progress input/output dependencies between functional groups.
• Coordinating the bug tracking system, and facilitate meetings that track bugs in the SW.
• Overseeing the SW involvement with all aspects of silicon bring-up and product integration. Working with Lab admin & IT org to ensure that the multi-timezone involvement in emulation and bring up is smooth and on-schedule
• Participate in HW and SW architecture planning for next-generation product - representing the SW org in such.
• Be across technical activities in the Architecture groups to ensure tech transfer and collaboration opportunities are considered and incorporated into planning.
• Co-operating with Central Office groups (IT, HR, CFO) etc as required.

Qualifications

Minimum: • Bachelor's degree in relevant field. • Proven 5-10 years of experience in software project management through all stages of life-cycle.• Track record of delivering SW projects to customers on-time and on-budget.• Experience with large software project development using modern C++.• Experience in production compiler development.

Desired:• Project Management Certification (PMP) from the Program Management Institute (or industry equivalent)• Experience in modern compiler infrastructures, for example: LLVM, MLIR.• Experience in machine learning frameworks and interfaces, for example: ONNX, TensorFlow and PyTorch.
