About the Role:
As Syndicate Finance Manager you will be responsible for production and delivery of all Lloyd’s financial returns, statutory accounts, other financial regulatory and related compliance returns to Lloyd’s, FCA /PRA or equivalent. Working closely with the wider Everest team to build robust systems and procedures to generate these fillings.
You will be a qualified Accountant with experience working in the insurance industry, well versed in syndicate reporting and experience working on system implementations.
Role & Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Design and build the systems, analysis tools and procedures required to prepare all financial regulatory returns for Syndicate 2786 and uploading into core market returns (CMR) or Market Data Collection (MDC).

Production and delivery of all Lloyd’s returns and other applicable financial regulatory and compliance returns in accordance with the Lloyd’s and FCA/PRA etc timetables.

Completion of US / CAD trust fund returns.

Assist in the financial ledger close of the Syndicate and related legal entities for group reporting under US GAAP. Assist in group planning for the Syndicate and related entities as required.

Production of the Syndicate and related legal entities UK GAAP financial results and annual statutory report and accounts.

Designing and implementing key controls over the financial reporting process.

Undertake project work including development of new processes and implementation of change as required.

Ensure successful audit outcomes by both internal and external auditors.

Reconciliation of syndicate ledgers including cashbooks to bank accounts, regulatory and situs funds.

Processing of technical/non-technical accounting ledger entries as required, including invoices and bank payments.

Management responsibility over Syndicate Accountant(s) who support in the above tasks.
Qualifications:
-
Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with significant post qualification experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
-
Broad experience working in the insurance industry.

Excellent knowledge of the Lloyd’s market, the financial and regulatory landscape, core market returns (CMR), market data collection (MDC) and reporting forms required by Lloyd’s (and FCA/PRA where equivalent).

Good system (Excel/GL etc) skills to be able to extract relevant data and present within the Lloyd’s returns.

Ability to analyse and self-audit the forms, including liaison with underwriting teams to verify data.

Good communication skills, ability to interact at all levels.

Strong and demonstratable leadership/management skills.

Project management, prioritisation and time keeping skills.
