Job Function / Summary

The Syndications Client Administrator ("SCA") is primarily responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Loan Syndications team in the Wholesale Segment. This support includes the delivery of customer service at the highest levels, the performance of research and resolution of client issues, and the administration of loan documentation and portfolio reporting. The SCA will interact with clients, relationship managers and portfolio managers, and operations associates and external partners to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, processing and reporting for syndicated loan transactions agented by Hancock Whitney.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides support to Loan Syndications by assisting in the fostering of customer relationships through the processing of transactions, renewing loans, scheduling closings, resolving account/customer issues and providing various other administrative support.

    • Works closely with Syndications Associate to assist with obtaining financial data, drafting letters and agreements, clearing exceptions, and obtaining collateral documentation. Coordinates with CPA's, attorneys, insurance agents, etc. of assigned clients to resolve specific exceptions and transactional issues. This does not apply, should strike -JJ

    • Coordinates the preparation of required loan documentation via worksheets; [not applicable] reviews loan documentation; coordinates execution of loan documents; coordinates booking of renewal loan documents; clears loan exceptions. [not applicable]

    • Serves as a liaison between the Loan Syndications and Lending Services and third-party outsourcing partners during document preparation and in the ongoing administration of closed syndications. Coordinates document workflow as appropriate.

    • Closes complete loan packages in conjunction with or in the absence of the Relationship Manager. Ensures applicable loan documentation is approved and in compliance with regulations and company policy; maintains knowledge of current lending policies, procedures and regulations.

    • Responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of multiple reports; keeps Director of Loan Syndications apprised of any issues/problems that may arise and need attention.

    • Assist in coordinating bank meetings and other syndication process activities.

    • Coordinate travel of Loan Syndications staff.

    • Maintain and update reports on the syndications portfolio of the Bank for Executive Management.

    • Provide administrative support to the Loan Syndications team - examples include completing expense reports, processing accounts payable and ordering office supplies

Required Education, Experience & Knowledge

  • High School diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of related support experience in a financial services environment or institution

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn internal bank reporting systems
  • Basic knowledge of financial statements
